How to Play NETENT’S Classic Blackjack

GAME OVERVIEW

Blackjack Classic is an exciting three-hand and six-deck RNG (Random Number Generator) Blackjack from NetEnt. Superior rendering, beautiful animation and an easy-to-understand user interface creates a rich and exciting gaming experience.

Take a virtual seat at the table and try to achieve a hand that’s closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand. The game is played with six decks and the cards are reshuffled before each round. The game is packed with features and options to enhance the gaming experience.

If you have a Blackjack and the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace, you can choose to take Even Money. You’re given the option to Double on all your two initial cards. There’s even a built-in warning to make sure that you make smart decisions and do not Stand on 9 or Hit on 20.

The player can play three hands in each game round – place a bet on one hand or multiple hands. All the usual Blackjack bets are available, including the optional Any Pair or Perfect Pair, and 21+3 side bets.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Superior RNG game with rich graphics
  • Perfect Pairs and 21+3 side bets
  • Even Money option with Blackjack.

HOW TO PLAY

CARD VALUES

  • Cards from 2 to 10 are worth their face value
  • Face cards (Jacks, Queens and Kings) are each worth 10
  • Aces are worth 1 or 11, whichever is more favourable to the hand. Note that a soft hand includes an Ace worth 11.

One card is dealt face-up to each player. If you play with more than one hand, the dealing starts with the right hand on the table and continues clockwise, ending with the dealer’s hand. A second card is then dealt face-up each hand. The second card is dealt face-down to the dealer. The value of each initial hand is displayed next to your cards.

MAKING A DECISION

When you receive your first two cards, you have to make a decision for each hand to Hit, Double or Stand. Depending on your cards and the dealer’s face- up card, you may additionally have the option to Split, take Even Money or place an Insurance bet.

BLACKJACK

If the value of your initial two-card hand is exactly 21, you have Blackjack! You automatically Stand when your hand has a value of 21.

EVEN MONEY

If you have a Blackjack, and the dealer’s face-up card is an Ace, you have the option to take Even Money. If you choose to take Even Money, the hand is forfeit and you are paid 1:1.

INSURANCE

If the dealer’s up card is an Ace, you can choose to place an additional insurance bet that pays out if the dealer goes on to win with Blackjack. Click Yes to purchase the Insurance and to place an additional bet equal to half the initial Blackjack bet. The dealer then peeks at the face-down card to check for Blackjack. If there is a Blackjack, you win twice the insurance bet. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, you lose your insurance bet, and the game continues.

DOUBLE

Alternatively you can decide to Double when the first two cards have been dealt or after Splitting. You are not allowed to Double after Splitting two aces. If you choose to Double, the bet for the active hand Is doubled and one additional card is dealt to the hand. The hand then automatically Stands

HIT OR STAND

If you choose Hit, an additional card is dealt to this hand. You may Hit any number of times until you decide to Stand, the hand’s value reaches 21 or the hand busts. If you choose to Stand, no additional cards are dealt to this hand.

SPLIT

If your initial hand is a pair of cards of equal value, you can decide to Split the pair into two separate hands, each with a separate bet equal to the initial bet. The resulting hands are played one after the other. After you split a hand, you can choose to Hit, Double or Stand on each hand.

If you Split a pair of Aces, only one additional card is dealt to each of the resulting hands. If the resulting hand has a value of 21 it’s not considered a Blackjack.

DEALER’S HAND

The dealer must Hit (take an additional card) when the hand is 16 or less. The dealer must Stand on all hands of 17 or more. The dealer loses the game if the hand exceeds 21.

GAME OUTCOME

  • You win if your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand or when the dealer busts
  • If your hand’s value is the same as the dealer’s hand, the game rounds end in a push and your bet is returned
  • Blackjack is only possible on the two cards in the initial two-card deal
  • If the sum of your hand exceeds 21, your hand busts and you lose your bet.

SIDE BETS

A player may place side bets in combination with the main Blackjack bet. This gives them the chance to win on any side bet whether they later win or lose on their main Blackjack Bet. The available side bets are Any Pair and 21+3.

ANY PAIR

Allows players to bet on the two first cards of their hand being a pair of the same value: e.g. two Queens, two Aces, two 10s etc. There are two types of pair combinations for the Any Pair side bet each with a different payout.

  • Suited Pair: Two cards of the same value and suit
  • Any Pair: Two cards of the same value.

  • Three of a kind: Three cards with the same value of mixed suits
