How to Play Platinum Blackjack by Red Tiger

GAME OVERVIEW

Blackjack is a classic casino card game in which the player competes against the dealer. The objective of Blackjack is to achieve a higher card count than the dealer, but without going over 21. The best hand is Blackjack – when the sum of the values of the first two cards dealt is exactly 21.

The game is played with a new set of eight standard decks of 52 cards that are used at the beginning of each round. Packed with features and multiple options to enhance the gaming experience, Platinum Blackjack has all the usual bets available, including Any Pair and 21+3 side bets, as well as a Bustorama side bet variation.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Superior platinum game with rich graphics
  • All the usual side bets including 21+3
  • A brand new Bustorama side bet variation
  • Multiple chances to enhance gaming experience

HOW TO PLAY

CARD VALUES

  • Face Cards (K,Q,J) are counted as 10
  • 2 to 10 are counted as the value of the card
  • Ace may be used as either 1 or 11
  • No particular significance is given to any of the four suits

Hands of equal value to the dealer’s are a PUSH, and your bet is returned. If your hand is 22 or higher, you bust regardless of the value of the dealer’s hand. You automatically stand when your hand has a value of 21.

MAKING A DECISION

When you receive your first two cards, you have to make a decision for each hand to Hit, Double or Stand. Depending on your cards and the dealer’s face-up card, you may additionally have the option to Split, or place an Insurance bet.

BLACKJACK

If the value of your initial two-card hand is exactly 21, you have Blackjack! You automatically Stand when your hand has a value of 21.

SURRENDER

When you surrender, you give up your hand following the initial deal if you have little chance of winning the hand. The game features a LATE SURRENDER feature, which means that you may surrender your hand and lose half your bet only after the dealer checks for Blackjack.

DOUBLE DOWN

Doubles the current bet and adds an additional card. No further cards may be requested from the dealer after doubling down – you are dealt one extra card and then your hand automatically stands. You can double down after the first two cards (except after splitting two Aces). The double down bet is equal to the initial bet. Double Down is allowed only on hands with a value of 9, 10 or 11.

SPLIT

If the player is dealt a pair, then a SPLIT is an option to separate the two cards into two new hands. The second hand requires an additional bet at the same stake as the first, and the two new hands are each played in turn. Оnly one split per hand is allowed. You can hit multiple times for all split hands, except Aces. For split Aces, you can hit once only. If you have a split Ace and a card with a face value of 10, this is not considered Blackjack, but a regular 21. It is possible to double-down on a split hand.

INSURANCE

If the dealer is showing an ace, the player is offered insurance paying 2:1 at a stake of half the original bet. If insurance is taken and the dealer gets Blackjack, the 2:1 insurance bet is paid out and the initial bet is lost. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, then the insurance bet is lost and the original bet is played normally.

ORIGINAL BETS ONLY

The “Original Bets Only” rule states that if the player’s hand loses to a dealer blackjack, only the mandatory initial bet (“Original”) is forfeited, and all optional bets, meaning doubles and splits, are returned.

SIDE BETS

All side bets excluding the Bustorama side bet pay after the initial cards have been dealt and before commencing to the normal Blackjack Rules.
